- Wassail for Red Wine: Fill a pot with 1 galloon of red wine. Add spices to wine. Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar, and simmer at low heat for 1-2 hours. Squeeze in the juice of 2 oranges. Serve hot, or chill and serve over ice.
