February is here and it brings with it one of the most fear-inducing days for men (and a few women): Valentine’s Day. The stress over what to give and how to celebrate can cause sleepless nights, procrastination and ill-conceived drugstore gifts. And don’t totally lose it, but did we mention it’s on a Sunday?
Let’s skip the clichés and plan a Valentine’s Day that’s just right for you two lovebirds. Here’s the first post in our three-part series: How To Valentine for Couples. Today we’re focusing on two very different couples: The Goofballs and The Romantics.
The Goofball Couple
Who: Head over heels giggle addicts who would do just about anything for a laugh.
How: Laugh it up with day and night dates made for fun.
Your perfect bouquet: Sweetheart Tulips
Try these fun-loving date ideas:
Let the good times roll and lace up your skates for a night at the roller rink.
Say “yes and.”
Take an improv class. If you’re really brave, hit the stage at an open mic night.
Get tickets to a favorite standup comedian or stay in and binge watch SNL.
Wit and wisdom.
Laugh out loud with funny stories from the likes of Tina Fey or Amy Poehler.
The Romantic Couple
Who: The perfect pair with a love so great it rivals the best romance novel.
How: Start your Valentine’s Day with sky-high roses. Finish with an amorous night in and dinner for two.
Your perfect bouquet: Breathtaking Beauty
Fall in love all over again with this date night:
Flames of desire.
Dim the lights and make her glow with candles that instantly set the mood.
Tonight’s the night to pop the cork on the real-deal champagne (from France).
Elevate your romantic dinner at home and make it a black tie affair.
But first, dessert.
Skip the savory meal and surprise your love with a four-course dessert spread.
