There is quite a variety of events and activities celebrating Valentine’s Day in the Phoenix area. While there are many things that you can do and places you can go on and around Valentine’s Day in the Valley of the Sun, these are specially designed for love and romance. The Pleasure Feast, served by wenches and tavern knaves at the Arizona Renaissance Festival, includes a six-course meal along with two hours of raucous Renaissance entertainment. Admission to the Arizona Renaissance Festival is included with your ticket. Reservations strongly encouraged, as seating is limited.

3. Romantic Southwest Dinner

Many people choose to spend a quiet romantic evening alone with their partners on Valentine’s Day or those special holidays. Enjoy a night out on the town at top restaurants like Sapporo, Artizen at the Camby, or You can also try to beat the crowds at your local restaurants try making your own meal and enjoy some relaxation in your own home. Use some candles to set the mood and turn on some Mariachi music in the background to complete your “Mexican Getaway.”

4. Horse Drawn Carriage Ride

If you want to impress her with extreme romance — is an engagement ring part of the plan? How about a horse-drawn carriage ride? 5. Soothe Your Souls at Southwest Spas

There are a lot of super spas across the Southwest, some of which have been in the movies! Pick one and call ahead for a Couples Facial, Hot Stone Massage or other fancy treatment! Aji Chandler at the Sheraton, Alvadora at the Royal Palms, Sanctuary, and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.

6. Ballet Arizona presents Romeo & Juliet

Enjoy Shakespeare’s classic Romeo & Juliet as Ballet Arizona presents six performances over Valentine’s Day weekend at Symphony Hall in downtown Phoenix. Romeo & Juliet combines Phoneix’s only professional ballet company with Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s full, dramatic score.
