Christmas – it’s the most magical time of the year. With neighborhoods adorned in lights and scents of evergreen and cinnamon filling houses all across the country, it’s hard not to notice that old St. Nick will soon be making his annual trip around the globe. In honor of the festive Christmas spirit, this year ProFlowers reached out to a few of our favorite interior designers to see how they were prepping their homes for the holiday. With one of our mini Christmas trees on hand to make sure even their behind-the-scenes spots glistened with hints of Christmas, let’s see how these stewards of spirit welcomed Mr. Kringle this year.
Oksana of Foxy Oxie spent this Christmas celebrating for the first time in her new house. She went with a neutral color palette for a classic and timeless feel, because in her home they keep the decorations up until at least January 14th. Why two weeks into January? Well, Russian tradition dictates that the holidays aren’t over until January 14, which is the Russian Old New Year according to the old Julian calendar. With pops of gold and silver throughout, including the vase of her own mini Christmas tree, her home really does look like a magical winter wonderland. You can find all of Oksana’s decorations here.
Oh So Lovely
Similar to Oksana, Audrey of Oh So Lovely also spent Christmas in a fixer upper, with multiple renovations or projects taking place. Regardless, that didn’t stop her and her family from celebrating in style, with an abundance of trees, garland, and lights. Speaking of trees, Audrey states “I absolutely love this culinary rosemary tree from ProFlowers. It smells so good and is conveniently placed next to our gas range so Ted can use the fresh herbs as he cooks (mom of the year)! It’s our most useful and best smelling holiday decor item, and I highly recommend.” Thanks so much for the kind words Audrey! To get in the holiday spirit, Amber of Restless Arrow hosted a cookie exchange and invited all of her closest friends and family. With mini trees set as centerpieces, a larger tree beautifully draped with tinsel off to the side, and the smell of freshly baked cookies and Christmas cupcakes emanating from the oven, everyone in attendance was excited for December 25th. M is for Mama
Abbie of M is for Mama is currently expecting a new child, but that didn’t stop her from getting her home Christmas-ready. Featuring eloquent word art, multiple sets of antlers (she is from Texas, after all) and of course, one of our mini-Christmas trees, her house is equal parts festive, cozy, and inspiring. Lil Bits of Chic
While it may not seem like winter outside here in San Diego, Paulina of Lil Bits of Chic created her own winter wonderland indoors. Similar to Oksana, Paulina went with a theme of silver and gold, but also added in faux fur to add an extra dimension! Taking a cue from Pinterest, she criss-crossed the ribbon on her big tree and styled her mini-tree with a white and gold nutcracker. You can see all of Paulina’s decorations, including her furry stockings, here.
