Give spring the brilliant, colorful welcome it undoubtedly deserves by sprucing up the front entry of your home. Be the first on your block to add instant color and style with our three simple décor ideas. Let’s get started!

Spruce up the front entry of your home.

Floral Impression

Fresh flowers and plants are the hands down simplest (and quickest) way to add personality and color to pretty much anywhere in your home. They are an especially wonderful addition to the front entry since it’s the first encounter everyone will have with your home. For our door, we styled daffodils two ways. First, choose your bulb then create a cluster of container gardens. Second, use an interesting wooden vessel to display fresh cut flowers. We reused the wooden toolbox container from a bulb garden.

DIY Striped Doormat

We know finding a doormat with a fresh, modern pattern is anything but easy. Skip the overdone “welcome” mat and make your own with instructions from Cupcakes and Cashmere. Hit your local hardware store for an endless array of paint colors from which to choose. Our palette for this project was springy greens and yellows, so we went with a cheerful lime hue.

DIY Decorative Clay Bell

We love a ringing bell to announce the arrival of guests. Create this adorable set of decorative clay bells, from the ladies over at A Beautiful Mess, in just a few steps. Add custom flair with the addition of extra bells, leather tassels, ribbons or whatever else strikes your fancy.
