Along with memories of decorating the tree and opening gifts, gathering around the fireplace with loved ones and a cup of hot cocoa is also a magical Christmas moment to remember. The fireplace brings that warm, cozy feeling to the home so sought after during the cold winter months–make it that much more appealing by decking the mantel with live Christmas greens and fresh floral arrangements. Here are 3 different, inspired holiday looks for the fireplace that will make you happy to see that first winter snow.
Deck the Halls (or Mantel)
We’ve incorporated elements that bring an elegant and sophisticated, yet festive and cheerful, look to this mantel. Inspired by our Deck the Halls Collection, we’ve adorned our mantel with our Deck the Halls wreath and Christmas boughs—each made with fresh, fragrant evergreens and pine cones. We’ve embellished the mantel with festive red and green Christmas bulbs, adorable red and green nutcrackers and our Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Centerpiece. We’ve also framed our favorite Christmas poem and placed it in the center of our mantel as a nice focal point below the wreath. Don’t forget to hang your stockings and light some candles around the mantel too.
We’ve also taken our mantel décor a step further by adding a rustic white sleigh on the ground next to the fireplace, on which to set our Deluxe Let it Snow Christmas bouquet in a red mason jar and some pine cones. On the opposite side of the fireplace, we’ve added pretty red glass Christmas trees atop a white wicker table.
With rich red blooms and vibrant green leaves, it’s no surprise that poinsettias are the official flower of the season. This mantel creation was inspired by our Poinsettia Lane Collection, and is a stylish and modern representation of the season, with a fun twist.
We’ve hung our Poinsettia Lane wreath above the mantel to serve as a lively focal point. The mantel has also been adorned with fresh, fragrant Christmas boughs, classic gold bulbs, our Poinsettia Lane Holiday candle ring and our lush Season’s Greetings centerpiece. To really brighten up the mantel, we’ve placed a fun “Joy” light marquee in the center of it all.
Surrounding the fireplace, we’ve added poinsettias inside our red winter rain boots and placed a vibrant bouquet on top of our white wicker table. To finish off the look we’ve created an adorable Christmas-themed terrarium and set that next to our table on a red box.
Dreaming of a White Christmas
Inspired by our White Christmas Collection, this mantel is a winter white dream come true for a chic, modern living space. Fresh Christmas boughs along the mantel are a must, and we’ve added trendy embellishments—like a gold Christmas tree, white cake stand with a reindeer statuette and cake dome, mini trees, white candles and our White Christmas Centerpiece in a mercury glass vase.
Instead of a wreath, for this look we hung a unique and fun chalkboard drawing. Lastly, to finish off the look, we placed a winter white bouquet, like our new Christmas Morning Snowfall bouquet and a real mini cypress Christmas tree next to the fireplace.
Make your fireplace mantel full of Christmas joy and delight by bringing in fresh flowers, and most importantly live, fragrant evergreens. Guests can come in from the cold, harsh winter weather and be greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere to sit and relish in all that the holiday season has to offer.
