Pinching or trimming off spent leaves or blossoms allows the flower to send nutrients to the healthier areas that are still blooming. This will allow the healthier blossoms to open and will make your flowers last longer. Refill the vase with fresh water every two or three day and re-cut the bottoms of the stems with each water change to ensure freshness and longevity.
