The Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle, Washington, is set to take place from February 8 - 12 at the Washington State Convention Center. This year's theme is "A Floral Symphony," which will include many magical displays. A total of 25 show gardens spread out over 25 acres will be bringing classic stories and fairytales to life. Some of these displays include "April in Paris," "A Concert in the Park," "Grunge Garden" and "Here Comes the Sun."
With more than 300 vendors, the Marketplace is the perfect way to acquire everything you need for a prosperous garden this spring. Wares include plants, hand-crafted containers, food, garden furniture and art pieces. There's even a package check service, which will keep items safe while you continue to wander around checking out the sights.
If you want to get your kids in on the fun, the PlayGarden is the perfect place. The exhibition allows children to remain engaged with a number of hands-on activities focusing around gardening, nature and birds. Plenty of fun musical acts will also be featured in the PlayGarden, so your kids will never run out of attractions to keep them entertained. There's even a Treasure Hunt this year, which will focus on birdhouses.
The Opening Night Party on Tuesday, February 7, presented guests with the opportunity to view the sights before the opening of the show. All benefits from the party will support the Arboretum Foundation, which is one of Seattle’s oldest non-profit organizations.
