Daffodil Days Festival After over 15 years of success, the Round Rock Daffodil Festival has become one of the largest family events in the area. With activities like music concerts and other live entertainment, a public auction, food booths, and a raffle, goers will have plenty to do at this fun and free event. They can also mingle with vendors such as artists, jewelers, and service providers who are there to share their products and expertise on subjects like how to care for flowers in Round Rock. In addition to the entertainment available to adults, there are free activities for kids to participate in as well. In the past, children have had their faces painted, been entertained by clowns and have had their photograph taken with characters like the Easter bunny. If you’re interested in doing more than simply attending this event, there are many opportunities in which you can be a part of it. One way is to help out the senior citizens foundation by volunteering at the event. Volunteers are needed to fulfill jobs such as distributing fliers with event details, decorating, holding security positions and cleaning up after the festival is over. If you cannot volunteer, sponsorship opportunities are available, and in return the senior center offers marketing and promotional resources. They also look for entertainers of all kinds to volunteer their talents and make the event even more fun and memorable than it already is. The event entrance is free, but all proceeds made through other activities benefit the Round Rock Senior Citizens Foundation, their facilities and services, and programs for seniors in the area like Meals on Wheels and the WBCO Senior Nutrition Center Program.
