Who needs a date to have a good time on Valentine’s? Gather some of your other single friends and plan something. Ladies, enjoy some time with your besties at your preferred restaurant or café. Or, enjoy some quality time together and have a girls night in with wine, tapas and a favorite flick. Only rule is, no sappy romance movies. This isn’t about commiserating over what you’re missing. It’s about sharing a few laughs and fun times with friends. Guys, spend the day out on the golf course or take in a ballgame for a little male bonding.
Try Something New
If there’s something you’ve always wanted to try or learn, now is the time. From skydiving, cooking classes or volunteering with a local charity, whatever your dream challenge may be Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to give it a go. There are also a few added benefits to trying something you’ve never done before — like building confidence, picking up a new skill or giving back to the community. What better way to spend the holiday, right? Convincing a couple of friends to join you adds to the fun and makes for some great memories.

Remember, of all of the things that really matter, your health is a big one. Spend some time at the gym working out all of that Valentine’s Day stress. You’ll be surprised how much an hour of yoga or other type of exercise can improve your outlook and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Even better, take your workout outside. Who doesn’t feel better after a quiet hike on a favorite trail, surround by the natural beauty of the outdoors? Perhaps a long run, a walk on the beach, or skating through a lush green park are more your style. How you do it is your choice, the important thing is to get out and get moving.
